Lais y Acalia was born out of creative necessity. Conceived by a mom and daughters team in 2019. It is inspired by our travels, life experiences and from living a more simple life in the recent years. 

It embraces the concept of coastal and city living by creating timeless and thoughtful wardrobe staples made to last and inspire. We are slow-made and considered. All of our pieces are handcrafted, cut and sewn in Guayaquil, Ecuador. We work with a woman owned and operated small production house who adheres to fair wage practices. This supports small family businesses, working mothers and people with disabilities. We produce in small batches allowing us to produce based on demand, avoiding excess waste. 

Although Lais y Acalia is still a young business, we are dedicated to learning and evolving. We encourage our customers to think about their clothing more emotionally. To value the relationship they develop with the clothes over time - for each garment to develop it's own story.
